Why We Use This Device With Almost Every Patient

If your child has low muscle tone, you know the pattern. They slump. They fatigue fast. They work twice as hard to do half as much, and by the end of a therapy session there is nothing left in the tank.

One of the biggest rules we have in the office is that we prime a system before we activate it. Get energy to it first, then ask it to work. That order matters more than almost anything else we do.

What the magnetic field does

The tool we reach for most with these kids uses a strong magnetic field to fire up muscles, and to send feedback from those muscles back to the brain.

Every cell holds an electrical charge, and that charge is what keeps it stable and energized. When a child is carrying inflammation, infection, or a lot of stress, that charge can drift. The emField Pro helps bring it back toward where it belongs. In plain terms, we are charging the battery so your child can do more work before they run out.

The number comes down

At first, some kids need a lot of stimulus before a muscle responds at all. Over a week or two of consistent use, we commonly see that number drop. Less input, bigger response. That is the brain and the muscle finding each other again.

It also tells us where to work. If the left side of the low back needs far more stimulus than the right, we know where the imbalance lives.

Why this matters for your family

Symmetry of muscle tone creates symmetry of movement, and symmetry of movement is what develops the brain. So before we ask a child to do a core exercise or a reflex activity, we wake up the muscles we want them to use. The activation is stronger, the input to the brain is bigger, and the connection builds faster.

Final thoughts

The diagnosis on the paperwork matters less than the assessment. What we are looking for is where the underlying weakness sits, and then we go after it.

The idea is simple. We use the body to activate the brain, so the brain can start to control the body again.
